What I did today

Today I logged into homebase. I created a new ticket for this week’s lab. I configured a virtual network using VirtualBox with a pfSense router, a Windows VM, and a Debian VM. I set the LAN address to 192.168.0.1 and enabled DHCP to assign IP addresses to the VMs. I verified the configuration by renewing the Windows IP address and successfully pinging the router. This confirmed that the network and DHCP were working correctly.

What I Did Today

I forgot to clock in on Homestead so I did it when I realized it. We started a new Networking project and created a new ticket. We opened the pre-lab instructions and answered some questions based on our existing knowledge. Then we took the terminology list and filled in the definitions. I primarily used YouTube because of the graphics and detailed explanations. We then worked on pfSense and was troubleshooting why our VM was circumventing pfSense to connect the internet. We will be exploring the network adapters and how it affects the CTT router (connect the VM with pfSense using the internal network adapter 1?)
