Today I continued to work on the Project Inception lab, and I took a Percipio benchmark test.

We logged into Homebase to clock-in. We took a look at the articles that were auto-posted in Slack. Then we logged into the VPN and Remote Desktop to create two Bodhi Virtual Machines as part of Project Inception – Phase 2. I got up to step 15 and will continue tomorrow. We also took two skill benchmark tests in Percipio-CompTIA A+ Core 2 Literacy Benchmark (Beginner Level) and Technology Essentials.

We continued working on the labs from last week. I created a new ticket, “Project Inception,” and updated it with notes from labs. In today’s lab, I completed working on Bodhi VMs and moved to Debian. I had the instructor review both VMs.

I participated in a group setting, answering questions about job searching and

what I am looking for in employment. I prepared a reference worksheet for resume building and cover letters.

We had an introduction to Professional Networking.

I learned how to improve my resume, and then made alterations.

I found some new clues for a job search on LinkedIn.

We got to know our targets by making small groups and chatting.

We practiced a part of a mock interview.

Today we watched the employment services presentation and was assigned a Job Log Template. I entered the first 9 items on my spreadsheet with links to the documents. I read some of the article explaining good questions to some of the top interview questions. We practiced some interview questions in the group after some ice breakers where we also networked with peers on LinkedIn. Also worked in Percipio for about 45 minutes.

Today I networked with people in the Employment Services group, it was fun discussing about our goals, hobbies and talking about some of our past challenges. I look forward to connecting with them again next week.

Today, we did the introduction to employment services presentation for the beginning of the month. We worked on resumes, and I’m trying to make my experience statements more relevant to how I served the company. We did interview practice and made some real LinkedIn connections. I am happy to meet all the new students!

I participated in the employment services presentation activity during the last 10 minutes of it. Then, I continued my work with professional documents by refining my resume. Finally, I answered the questions asked during the rounds of interview practice.

Today I networked with other people and got to know them. I worked on my interview questions and participated in a mock interview.
