CTP Skill Center

Today I went over the standing assignments, set up my remote access for virtualization projects, learned how to use the ticketing system, discussed the importance of these blog posts, and set up my calendar.

Slides assignment was easier than I thought.

With enough practice I should be able to do Slides on the entry level.

We had a brief overview of Google Slides. Then we pretty much had the whole class to work on our slide show for the POW health center. That was fun, and I hope that mine looks professional. We started the class with typing practice, and my words-per-minute are improving.

Today was my beginning to Pro Admin and Customer Service training. It was embarrassing to be a few minutes late to my first day but still felt happy joining into the outline for class.
Today I registered myself for Homebase as well as WordPress and Percipio. It is challenging for me to stay coherent but the practice with students and our teachers is encouraging. Especially everyone’s energy being inclusive and ready to teamwork through class. Excited for more learning and fun!

Today was my first day back at CTP after one long week of vacation and no other class meetings. It was an enjoyable time staying off the clock and watching soccer, but today was more about staying productive.

During orientation for the PRO Customer Service and Administrative Training class, I focused on keeping track of the assignments to complete by the end of the week. As well, there were a few new tasks, such as Homebase time tracking and this WordPress blogging assignment. This is to say, I already felt challenged to meet the professional accountability standards we are practicing in this class.

However, I’m happy with the progress I seem to be making so far with my career goals and would like to continue to make necessary adjustments to find work. Despite the limitation not being able to get hired right away, I sense that I feel better and more confident throughout the process. This is because of what we learned in Computer Skills Bootcamp. I am feeling great about this practice on Day One.

Today, my main responsibilities as an administrative associate are my daily task for the day to research and post job listings onto the CTP skill center website, and my main task for the day is to research general emails and contact information for foundations from a provided list, and then send email messages to the applicable foundations. I logged more general emails and site forms for provided foundations to be contacted and messaged around 6 more foundations using the provided email template.

Started the day by clocking in on HomeBase. Then listened to the CTP orientation. Then worked on the Monthly Email assignment due this Thursday. I am also starting to work on my end-of-three-month slide presentation that is due as soon as I can get it done. Then did my “What I did today” post and will clock out of HomeBase just as soon as I post this!.

Today was a pretty casual day. My internet was a little sketchy for the first part of class. I know that was annoying to the teachers. They have to keep signing me back in. I decided to use my Hotspot from my phone, and I was able to stay in class with no problems. Also, two new students started in the class and had orientation. I was able to work on my Accountability homework and my Core monthly check-in email assignment.

Last week we didn’t have class. So, coming back to class, today was great. We’re easing back in and having a laid-back, easy day. Catching up and getting ahead of assignments is great!

Today I set up my Chrome workstation and all my accounts, then I wrote this post.
