What I Did Today

Today I learned the benefits of volunteering. I am so excited to go out and volunteer, because not only is it fullfilling, but it’s also an excellent networking opportunity, and can be used for resumes, and references. We checked out the Idealist website, which has thousands of volunteer jobs. We also discussed our interviewing experiences, and strategies for answering tricky interview questions.

What I did today,

We discussed some questions on Our Interview Q&A sheet.

Carrie clarified the answer to a question that was a bit awkward for us.

I took a chance to work on onetonline.org,

we also worked on websites to find a volunteer job, which was the best part for me.

We practiced answering a few different questions in an interview together.

What I did today

Today we learned about the personal and professional benefits of volunteer work, and where to look for it. The class worked on professional documents, and I tried to polish my resume. We finished the class by practicing interview questions and I love this part because the practice always shows me what to do (or not to do!) all practice is good practice
