I had a hard time getting logged into class on time, but I sorted out the correct link for the zoom class going forward in August. The class was going through first month’s orientation, anyway; this is my second month, making the orientation a repeat endeavor.
After orientation it was decided that PRO has no incoming first month students, so we skipped a portion of class that was dedicated to PRO orientation. We went straight into the BerkMart Investor Conference exercise, which has a Google Docs registration form, a practice email, and finally the last part I was working on today, the Sheets exercise with the attendee list.
I got 5 persons down the list before it was the end of class already. The next person I need to input on the spreadsheet is Oscar the Grouch. Today was a pretty easy day of class. At the same time, I don’t want to rush through any data entry projects and so I’ll finish up later this week or tomorrow.

Today was the start of a new month. We got some new people in class, hooray! We started with orientation. The new people got pulled into another class, and we joined Pro class today. We had an overview of basic Windows. We then started on our project for the BerkMart Conference. I like this project; I get to use my Creativity, yeah! I like this project; lots to look at but fun.

What Today Held 07.31.2026
Class was fun fun fun today. I loved our learning and the notice points we individually need to focus on. I very much enjoyed the random interview questions and learning about the preparedness of social points for self. I also enjoyed the moment(s) when we realized that only two of us remembered what we were notified to complete from last week. Going through and watching our own interviews was nerve-wracking but honestly beautiful to see what we worry about anyway. It was a wonderful week. I feel like I have more to work on personally; however, I feel a lot more intact.

Today I learned about following up on job applications, which is something I have never been good at. I reviewed my own recorded mock interview with Carrie that I did last week, which was pretty rough, but still helpful. With Carrie’s help, I finally reached out to Jose’s contact in GIS, and that is HUGE!! At the end of the day, I got some practice talking about my other interests and talents, which is good because I might get those questions in interviews.
What I learned today
In employee services we covered: the Employment Services Presentation; We viewed the interview video recording and noted what we would improve and what we did well. We practiced two new interview questions. We added templates for email and phone/voice follow-ups to our job document.

What did I do today
Today was a productive day. So I started the class by answering how the mock interview practice went. After that, I was put into my own breakout room to watch my recorded interview from last week and also give a response on what I liked and what I wanted to improve. I also worked on the interview questions and answers. I also answered the practice interview question. I ended the day by doing the CTT Assessment and then “What did I do today” post.

Today we got to look at recorded interviews and had to ask one thing we really liked and two things that we can improve on. That was an interesting perspective. It really is funny to see how nervous I was knowing that I was being recorded. Then we had a presentation on job follow-up for applications that we put in. I have done that, but not 100%. Knowing how important it is, I will work on that much more. We had practice interview questions, and one of the questions is What are you most proud of learning on your own. I liked that question; it made me think about my skills and just how much of a self- starter I am, and I need to promote that more.
