Today I presented the article I selected on the gravity geoid model. I practiced note-taking, and I also learned how to “paint by numbers” in Sheets using conditional formatting, which was fun.

Started in Ctt, introducing ourselves to the new people. Afterward, we shared our tech articles. Mine was on a diode that absorbs heat in solar panels and turns it into energy at night, so that energy can be used at all times of day. There were some interesting articles today that I liked. I got moved into Pro, and we did a note-taking lab. We had to take notes and see how well we remembered it with a small quiz. I like that, but maybe cheating; I have a good memory, which helped. Then we did paint by number, but in a Google Spreadsheet.

Today, I had already finished my BerkMart Google Slides project, so there was a formatting assignment on Google Docs that I worked on for an hour. The assignment was to add Headings, Page Numbers, Table of Contents, and Section Breaks as a real-world formatting problem. I learned a few things having to insert the Table of Contents a few different times, making the document look just right, the way it should be.

Then, along with CTT people we ran through some note-taking assignments, testing out what we learned about Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, and Read/Write learners. It was pretty much the same as last months presentation. I even remembered the questions off the quiz from last time about Spotted Narwhals.

Finally, we learned how to Paint by Numbers on Google Sheets. It’s pretty neat to be messing around with Conditional Formatting rules for pure fun. I guess I never even knew that conditional formatting existed, so that should be an important thing to remember.

Today we reviewed how to set messages in Slack to send on Monday at 1 pm, as well as where we can allow classmates to read the articles ahead of time. Also, work on the weekly email to Jose with our daily progress on the 36-hour CTT program. This week, I have completed 1.45 hours of outside study time. I plan to take some time this weekend to get up to three hours for the following week.

August 6, 2026: Today, I got introduced to weekly tech articles. Some of them are interesting, and I watched a few presentations about them from a few other students. I then did some more work on Percipio and learned about networking fundamentals.

Started the day by clocking in with Homebase. I started the class by doing the typing for the first 15 minutes. Today I got to do a different project, which is the BerkMart Conference with Google Slides, which was fun. I also got to meet with Jose to go over the tech article notes. It was a fun and productive day. Before the class ends, I did a “What did I do today?” post. After the class ends, then I clock out of Homebase.

Today was wonderful! I began working on my BerkMart slides project. I think I am handling better than my last projects however, I will say, I am still working on my ability to focus on the important and not my worries of perfection or unreasonable standards for myself. It is also a great feeling to understand where focs is the most trouble is by overthinking to the point where the focus is no longer present. Mike’s glasses were awesome and the class present cats are so much motivation. My slides project should be done tonight after a booked session.

Today I finished up the BerkMart Event Project and got a good start on the BerkMart Slideshow Project.

Today, for the time, we worked on the CTT Project Inception phase part 2. I feel that after reading the instructions, I was able to get pretty far with the project, particularly the steps for setting up the virtual machine on the workstation computer. Also, we went over Google Calendar and got introduced to a classmate, Jasper. I’m also getting used to using the ticketing system and documenting my steps while working on phase 2.

We started with typing today. I am getting better at typing. Then we finished yesterday’s conference spreadsheets and started a Google Slideshow for the Berkmart Conference. I had fun with that and got done early. I played with the animations to make it more like something I would show. I had time at the end of class, did my Precipio, and got another done. I had a very productive day today.
