We took a quick quiz regarding the main goals of the program and also attendance regulation.

Our instructor gave us access to the routine clock-in, clock-out through our gmail address.

I also spent some time on tyoing at the end of the class session.

A few of the items done were typing practice, group discussion on AI-related apps, and any associated risk factors. I also took a look at the Monthly Evaluation and the Accountability Assignment due this Thursday.

Today I learned class expectations, specifically, this is work, not school. I practiced typing and learned about basic computer circuitry from Kahn academy. Today’s topic was first day of class, or class orientation, and how the class will work for the next 3 months. I learned how to use Home Base. We learned exactly what our assignments are and how to log into the various sites needed to complete assignments.

Today we watched an orientation slideshow, making sure that we all know what we will be doing, what is expected of us, and what the instructors will be here for.

In the second hour of class, we reviewed web browsers and how to navigate them, new tabs, favoriting tabs, finding and installing extensions, and making sure we are familiar with the CTP website

To finish the day, we all worked on different things. The third-month students worked on portfolios, and the other students worked on typing and Khan Academy.

Today, I worked on my 2026 Core Training Portfolio, reviewed how to combine tabs, and refreshed my knowledge on adding shortcuts to my homepage.

Today I learned that it’s good to ask a lot of questions. We asked questions on extensions we use and had good conversations about it. I also did my monthly email.

Today we watched Mike give a presentation on what browsers are and how to use them. He went over how to use a browser tab and also talked about what a browser extension is.

I started my day with finding and sharing several job listings. I then finished calling and emailing everyone that expressed interest on the DSPS outreach spreadsheet. Then I shared a few upcoming job fairs Carrie found. I finished off the rest of the DEI outreach emails, and finally, I shared a bunch more job listings and a couple job fairs.
