Today I cloned all my VMs and organized the clones into a new folder, and also a new collapsible group on the VirtualBox machine list. I continued to work on Part Deux of Project Inception, installing the OS on the new Debian VM. I also did my core check-in in the first hour. For the last part of today’s session, we presented our tech articles. Mine was on quantum computers, so it was very challenging to explain, but I did my best to convey the basic concept.

September 8 & 9, 2026: Both yesterday and today, my internet suffered an unfortunate outage, which meant I had to head to a relative’s house just to attend class today. Today, I had a core check-in with Devin and Carrie. I also presented my weekly tech article.

What Today Held
As always, Tiye had a wonderful day in class. Today I mainly worked on my portfolio. I’m really happy with the background and theme of my slides. I will practice what to say in my recording to present naturally, smoothly, and shortening the text written on the slide. Creating my portfolio also makes me sad because I feel I am leaving class so soon and will miss the class assignments. I am definitely looking forward to SJS, I just tend to miss things.
Also, I’m starting to feel ready actually to have a job. I need the income I so desperately to continue reintegration to society instead of hiding in my cave corner (though I consider my cave corner luxurious, I need realistic luxury to realistically hit my goals).

Today I worked on Phase 2 of Project Inception. I successfully created a new Bodhi Linux VM and cloned it. Next, I will create another VM with Debian Linux.
What I Did Today
Today, I felt prepared overall getting to class, since I worked on my portfolio presentation and my accountability assignment over the long weekend. I also submitted my Skillsoft, which was a course on Data Entry in Excel 365.
This week, it looks as though the Elective we are working on is the portfolio presentation itself. I spent class-time today refining the language slightly and making a few adjustments to make the graphics more clear. I think it’s important that my stories make sense and are also concise so I can get through the actual presentation.
Other than that, I want to prepare for my mock interview with Mechanics Bank, so I’m glad I’m getting ahead on those assignments due Thursday!

Today we worked on project inception round 2. I worked mainly on phase 2 and finished both parts, so now I’m working on phase 3 of the project inception. Tomorrow we will do tech articles first thing; after that, we will continue working on the lab, and Thursday is for the mock interviews.
